MoreWhat it does
- Expenses & incomeEvery transaction categorised, so you can see where the month actually went.
- BudgetsSet what a category should cost and watch it against what it really costs.
- GoalsSavings targets with progress you can see, not just a number in your head.
- BillsUpcoming bills and reminders, so nothing arrives as a surprise.
- Bill scanningPoint it at a bill instead of typing the whole thing in by hand.
- UPI payment detectionDetects eligible payment notifications on Android and asks you to confirm the expense before it is saved.
- InsightsCharts, reports and comparisons that show where the month actually went.
- Optional trading journalOff by default. Turn it on for trade logs, capital, P&L, win/loss statistics and equity curves — kept separate from everyday finance.
What it costs
Free to use. Pro is optional, and priced as it is in the app today:
- ₹99 / monthBilled monthly. Cancel any time.
- ₹799 / yearSaves ₹389 against twelve monthly payments — about 33%.
Pro unlocks additional features while the subscription is active; it is not a one-off purchase. Web payments are handled by Razorpay. You can cancel at any time to stop future charges — see the subscription terms. Your recorded data is never deleted because a subscription ends — you keep access to your records, and Pro-only features simply lock again.
Free is supported by advertising. Finance Tracker shows banner ads through Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID to serve and measure them. Your financial entries are never used for advertising and are never shared with advertisers — what is collected, and how to reset that ID or turn off ad personalisation, is set out in the privacy policy.
What Finance Tracker is not
It is a record-keeping and planning tool. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting or trading advice. EMI calculations, currency conversions and projections are estimates and should be independently verified. It is not a bank, and it does not connect to or control your bank accounts.
Privacy
Finance Tracker asks for an email address and a password to create an account, and stores the budgeting records you enter. It does not ask for or store bank account numbers, card numbers or payment credentials — Pro payments go to Razorpay, which returns only a subscription status. The full Finance Tracker privacy policy sets out what is kept and for how long, and the terms of service cover the rest. You can delete your account at any time.
How it's built
By hand, and measured on a real phone rather than assumed. The performance hunt behind it — including the pretty feature that got deleted instead of optimised — is written up in Built the hard way.
